Hampstead...the New Flat

What a saga...looking at flats. We looked for a couple of weeks prior to going on holiday, but everything was either tiny and overpriced, or overpriced and yuck, or overpriced and no where near anything.

Seriously ,we were looking at rooms no bigger than Australian standard kitchen sizes with galley beds, where you would smash your head on the ceiling if you sat up too fast - coffin like...ugh (input shudder here). I also learnt the hard way that if you give an estate agent a top figure, your maximum budget, they will not show you any properties that cost you less than that figure!
Anway, last sunny sunday afternoon (alas winter is here this week) was moving in day, hooray, as we cut it fine signing the tenant documents on the Friday. So here are the pictures...and the best thing is, it has a communal gardens (no pictures of that yet, I haven't been around to use it, nor has the sun I might add).

Watch this space....

Sorry to those of you who do read this blog, there is a bit going on at the moment and before our holiday to Spain we were hunting for a flat, then when we came back we were still hunting (and stressing - a week to find a new flat is pushing it mighty fine). This was particularily the case, very 11th hour and 59 minutes, when we signed for it on Friday morning and had to move out on Sunday, plus I had to stay away overnight for work on the Friday night too.

Oh there will be a blog on that too, I went and worked on the rail lines, ok the site access cabin, but it was something different and was cool to see the guys out there working on the lines.

The new flat now requires a TV, phone line and internet....so alas not much can happen till then, though the TV is optional, as so much rubbish on it anyway!! And Laura you will be happy to know it has freed me up a bit of time to watch the Love My Way DVDs, I just love that show. Oh and I need season 1 too, and if you could send me all the Grey's Anatomy ones...I will love you forever...well I will anyway but you know what I mean ;-).

Hope all is well and hope to be back in action again soon....sorry.

Countries Lisa has visited....

Well despite my going to Spain just this week gone, to Barcelona (pronounced Barthelona...yes really...ask Tuti, she does it well) and Seville, I still have only travelled to 10% of the world.

Nevermind, I am working on that and hope to do much, much more to fill in the gaps. My goal is to make it to 20% by the end of next year!!
